The Home in Five program is designed to help homebuyers purchase a newly-constructed or existing home by providing a below-market mortgage loan interest rate with a 5% or up to 6% grant for down payment and closing cost assistance.  This program is targeted to low and moderate income households, and loans will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, as there are only so many funds to go around. 

What is a 5% or 6% grant?
This is a percentage of money based off of the full loan loan amount that can be provided to you FREE as long as you qualify under the programs rules and guidelines.  Here is a brief example:  Say you are buying a home under this program that costs $250,000, and you qualify for Zero Down (No Money Down) financing, you are then eligible to receive a grant (FREE MONEY) of 5% or up to 6% in "Priority Lending Areas" of the full loan amount.  This is what it means in dollars:

$250,000 with a 5% grant= $12,500
$250,000 with a 6% grant= $15,000

This is $12,500 or $15,000 to be used for towards closing costs and/or towards a down payment!!!

Just to point out...  You do not have to qualify for Zero Down financing to be included in this program.  You could put as much money down as your prefer and then just use the 5% or 6% grant for additional money down or for closing costs.  There are several different loan products and options that can be used under this program.  Call Now for details!
